As Estimator, you will prepare cost estimates for services and products related to commercial building construction projects. In this newly created role, you will be a vital member of the team contributing to the continued growth and direction of the company.  Project values range up to $4M, with some projects at $10M.  An attractive remuneration and incentive plan is offered.

Your responsibilities will include:

--Consult with clients, contractors, construction foreman, etc. to discuss and formulate estimates.

--Prepare estimates of probable cost of materials, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, drawings, and specifications.  Use cost estimating software.

--Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

--Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services.  Prepare cost and expenditure reports and forecasts at regular intervals.

--Monitor actual cost of labour, materials and sub-trades against project estimate.

--Ensure positive working relationships with suppliers and sub-trades.
